Devote an afternoon towards developing a clear technique for opening and strengthening your shoulders and body so you can finally break down the pieces that comprise the puzzle of this challenging and rewarding pose.

This workshop will focus on breaking down the most effective ways to gracefully lift into and stay up in pincha mayurasana (forearm stand). We’ll dissect what needs to happen for you to make this pose a part of your daily practice. We’ll also review transitioning into headstand variations from other poses so if you missed part 1 no need to worry. Also, if you’ve taken this workshop before try it again to find new techniques each and every time.

My friend and incredible Thai body worker, Amber Campion, found this very special spot. She is offering her delicious massage sessions for all of us at $50/hr. If you sign up for the retreat by Wed, Jan 11th I’ll include 1 thai massage in the package.

Here’s where we will be staying maderasvillage.com

Here’s what Amber wrote me about the place:

“I can not stress enough how cool this area is…how this will be a total adventure for all…as well a retreat away…it maintains the rawness of Nicaragua which is so much better than so many resorts that really do not give you that part of the experience. Check out the photos…and know they do not even do justice! These tree house cabanas have slits in the shower floor so you can see down into the jungle as you are showering! It is crazy beautiful! I have a feeling you will want to make this place a regular/yearly retreat for you and your students…it is beyond perfect!”
